Miss Melissa is a 5th grade teacher for Brockton Public Schools and has been teaching dance at DBDS for 3 years. She practiced ballet, tap, jazz, and pointe at Denise's for 16 years and during that time she competed with the DBDS dance team for 3 years. During high school Melissa was the dance captain and choreographer for the half time dancers and musical, Bye Bye Birdie. She completed the Boston Dance Teacher Training Course during the summers. Mel loves practicing yoga, cooking, going to the beach, traveling, and dancing of course!
Miss Louise has been the office manager for many years at DBDS and she runs a tight ship! She is the proud grandmother of two grown granddaughters and teenage triplet grandsons!
Miss Denise is a lifelong Brocktonian and a proud member of the community. She is a founding member of Greater Brockton Dance Teachers' Club and has served in many capacities including president. As a member of the Dance Teachers Club of Boston she has served as social chairperson and director of the Teacher Training Program. Students have performed at countless local charity functions as well as competing at local and national levels. Students have performed with the Brockton Symphony Orchestra in conjunction with the Easton Childrens' Museum. We are very proud to say that many students have performed on Broadway, as well as other jobs in the dance industry.
Ryan Lynn Cheatham
Ryan Cheatham is a 2015 graduate of Bridgewater State University with a bachelors degree in media communications and a minor in dance. She has studied dance since she was 3 at Denise Buote Dance Studio. Ryan has danced with America's Best Dance Crew season 3 contestants Phunk Phenomenon as well as BSU's hip hop team Kinetic Edge. She has choreographed for BSU's winter dance and is excited to be back at Denise Buote's teaching hip hop.
Miss Lauren graduated from the Studio, where she was also a member of the competition team for three years. Since studying modern dance and choreography in college, she has continued taking classes in ballet and jazz in the Boston and South Shore areas. She loves teaching ballet and helping students grow as dancers!
Miss Nicole is a DBDS Alum (Class of 2001)! She has been an instructor at the dance studio since September 2001 and enjoys teaching tap, ballet and jazz.. She graduated from Bridgewater State College in January 2006 with a B.A. in English and B.S. in Elementary Education.
